Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook full course Indian meals, Individual dishes and food items including vegetarian, vegans& non-vegetarian curry(s).
  • Prepare Tandoori and Mughlai dishes in large quantities.
  • Follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning and cooking.
  • Have operational knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation styles of all the dishes produced within the kitchen.
  • Assist in introducing new dishes in the menu.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in naan, roti and tandoori dishes preparation.
  • Prepare Indian desserts.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
  • Follow sanitation procedures and ensure cleanliness of food preparation areas.
  • Ensure all pots and pans are cleaned at the end of the day.

 

Food Service Supervisor

Duration: Permanent/Full time

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Prepare food order summaries for chef according to requests from dieticians, patients in hospitals or other customers.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Supervise and check assembly of regular and special diet trays and delivery of food trolleys to hospital patients.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets.
  • May plan cafeteria menus and determine related food and labour costs.

Duration: Permanent/Full time

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Food and Beverage Serving Skills.
  • Advise on menu selections; Serve food and beverages.
  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards.
  • Describe menu items including daily specials for customers.
  • Take orders.
  • Point of sale system.
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs; Balance cash and record sales;
